Golden Joy
“Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.”
Inspired by the artist’s mother’s favorite poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost. A symbol of impermanence and the fleeting nature of all that we hold dear. May we find joy and bliss in the constantly changing nature of reality.
